Steven Talbot

​Steven, co-founder and CEO of GQR, leads the global growth strategy. He's also an investor and advisor through GQR's parent company, Wynden Stark, for various startups in human capital, finance, and technology. Born in West London and raised in Hertfordshire, he divides his time between Los Angeles, New York, and London.

Steven graduated from Loughborough University with a focus on business, economics, and finance. During his time there, he gained experience in investment banking, private wealth, and real estate.

He began his career as an analyst at a boutique project finance and investment banking firm, specializing in alternative energy and traditional natural resource-based project development and finance in the U.S., EU, and Russia/CIS. His work included projects like wind energy in Southern California and biomass energy in France.

Originally inclined towards science and engineering, Steven had sponsorship from Laing O'Rourke's investment and development business to join Loughborough's engineering school before shifting to economics and business to pursue his commercial goals.
