Job Title: Mid•Shift Behavioral Health LVN/LPN
Join our team as a Behavioral Health LVN/LPN, providing comprehensive nursing care and potentially overseeing others. This role requires initiative, independent judgment, and operates under general supervision.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver patient care and treatment.
• Execute basic and complex nursing tasks for medically fragile individuals.
• Assist in nursing instruction and training.
• Implement infection control measures and quality assurance programs.
• Execute therapeutic nursing programs.
Requirements:
• Active Texas LPN/LVN Licensure.
• AHA BLS Certification.
• Minimum 2 years professional experience.
• 1 year experience in a facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.
• Proficiency in advanced skills such as gastrostomy tubes/enteral feedings, Foley catheters, tracheostomies.
• Clear communication skills.
• Compliance with HHSC immunization and drug test requirements.
• Completion of required training.
Additional Information:
• 6•week orientation: 2 weeks general, 2 weeks nursing training, 2 weeks with a preceptor.
• Alternating shifts, including weekends.
• Agency nurses may be reassigned based on needs.
• COVID Vaccine required.
This is a 26•week contract, 40 hours per week, from 2 pm • 10 pm, based in Lubbock, TX.
