Job Title: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (Day Shift)
We're looking for a committed Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team in Waco, TX. The role involves a 40•hour work week, from 7 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and high acuity medical needs.
• Administer medication and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
• Document patient data in the EMR system.
• Comply with all facility rules and policies.
Requirements:
• Active Texas RN License.
• 2+ years of direct care nursing experience.
• Experience in acute care, long•term care, community clinics, or public health.
• 1+ year of experience in a facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification.
• Complete immunization records.
• Ability to pass required fingerprinting, drug screen, and background checks.
Preferred:
• Experience in psychiatric settings and nursing homes.
• Experience with medically fragile individuals.
Additional Info:
• Potential for extension.
• 2•week orientation followed by direct floor duty.
• May require floating per unit need.
• COVID•19 vaccination required.
• Parking provided.
• No specific scrub color or style required.
• Facility uses the IRIS EMR system.
Note: Home health, clinic, and hospice experience does not qualify for this role. Nurses with nursing home experience tend to excel.
