Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) • Corrections • Day Shift
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join their team in a corrections setting. This role requires a commitment to providing high•quality care in a fast•paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care to patients in a correctional setting
• Float to different units as needed
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures
Start Dates: Orientations are held on weekends once the candidate is cleared by credentialing and state authorities.
Contract Length: This is a 13•week assignment with the possibility of extension.
Shift: Day shift, 0545•1815
Hours per week: 36/48 • rotations are not guaranteed but 36 hours each week is, must have flexibility
Overtime: Eligibility to work overtime is available contingent on performance.
Float Requirements: Candidates may be asked to float to different units within a 10 • 30•minute radius.
Scheduling: 4 weeks block booking by the 20th. The work week is Saturday – Friday.
Required Certifications: BLS, IV Therapy Certification
License: Compact or Texas LVN
Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 Year of Acute Care or Med Surg experience
• Experience in LTAC, ER, Skilled Nursing and/or Psych is a plus
Ideal Candidate:
• Thick•skinned
• Independent
• Able to thrive in a fast•paced environment
• Does not participate in internal issues and gossip
COVID Vaccine Requirement: Required but exemptions are accepted
Compensation: Competitive pay package available.
Bonus: $200 Sign•on Bonus, upon completion of required modules and starting assignment.
