Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) • Corrections • Night Shift
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join their team in Palestine, Texas. This role involves providing high•quality nursing care in a corrections environment during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
• Delivering patient care in accordance with established protocols and procedures
• Responding to and reporting changes in patient's condition
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Documenting all nursing care, change in condition, response to therapy, treatments, procedures and referrals on patient record to meet standards
• Participating in patient and family teaching as necessary
Requirements:
• Must hold a current LVN license in Texas or a compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of LVN experience
• At least 1 year of acute care or med surg experience
• Experience in LTAC, ER, Skilled Nursing, and/or Psych is a plus
• Must be thick•skinned, independent, and able to thrive in a fast•paced environment
• COVID•19 vaccination is required, exemptions may be considered
This role requires flexibility to float as needed to different units within a 50•mile radius. The work week runs from Saturday to Friday, with potential for overtime based on performance. The position is for a 13•week contract with the possibility of extension.
