Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) • Corrections • Nights
Job Description:
Join our team as a night•shift LVN in the Corrections Department, based in Huntsville, Texas.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver high•quality nursing care in a correctional setting.
• Work 36 and 48•hour weeks (12•hour shifts).
• Float to nearby units as required.
• Participate in monthly 4 weeks block booking.
Requirements:
• Current BLS and IV Therapy Certification.
• Compact or Texas LVN license.
• Minimum 2 years of LVN experience.
• At least 1 Year of Acute Care or Med Surg experience.
• Experience in LTAC, ER, Skilled Nursing and/or Psych preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Resilient, independent, and able to thrive in a fast•paced environment.
• COVID•19 vaccination required (exemptions accepted).
Note:
• Overtime available based on performance.
• May be required to float or divert within 50 miles of assigned unit.
• Refusal to float or divert may result in DNR status.
• Work week calculated from Saturday to Friday for overtime.
This is a 13•week assignment with potential for extension. A $200 sign•on bonus is available upon completion of required modules and starting the assignment.
