Location: San Mateo, CA

Position Overview:

This role involves overseeing portfolio operations for development programs, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Key responsibilities include driving strategic planning, assessing opportunities, managing risks, and coordinating core team activities. The Director will monitor key performance indicators, collaborate on portfolio strategy, and contribute to corporate initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee portfolio operations and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Drive strategic planning, risk management, and development timelines.
  • Facilitate core team meetings, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and report progress to leadership.
  • Collaborate on portfolio strategy, resource management, and operational initiatives.
  • Provide technical review and contribute to corporate strategy and business development.

Required Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in life or physical sciences.
  • 10+ years of experience in life sciences/biotechnology, with a focus on oncology and clinical development.
  • Proficiency in portfolio assessment, resource management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and collaboration platforms (e.g., MS Teams, Smartsheet).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Compensation:

  • Expected salary range: $192,000 - $235,000 annually, plus bonus, benefits, and equity incentives. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and market data.
