Locum Family Practice Physician

 

South Texas

 

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

 

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking one or more experienced Locum Family Practice Physicians to join their growing team. The ideal candidates will specialize in Family Practice and be ready to make a difference in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population in a collaborative clinic setting.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care within a primary care clinic environment.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal care delivery.
  • Utilize the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system effectively for patient documentation and follow-ups.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic conditions across all age groups.
  • Educate patients on wellness, preventive care, and treatment plans.

 

Credentialing Requirements:

  • NPI (National Provider Identifier)
  • Completed credentialing packet with required documents
  • Medicare and Medicaid provider eligibility
  • BLS required; PALS, ACLS certifications are a plus

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
  • Licensed practitioners preferred
  • Additional certifications based on specialty
  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred

 

Patient Information:

  • Average patient volume: 18+ per day
  • Patient ages: All ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics

 

Support Staff:

  • Two Medical Assistants per provider to assist with patient care
