GQR x Acadia Pharmaceuticals: Powering the Future of Rare Disease Treatment

At GQR Life Sciences, we specialize in connecting world-class talent with groundbreaking organizations at the forefront of biopharmaceutical innovation. Our team understands the complexities of the life sciences industry, from the regulatory hurdles of drug development to the urgency of building commercial teams for product launches. We go beyond recruitment—we act as strategic talent advisors, helping our clients scale efficiently, improve hiring outcomes, and ultimately, accelerate life-changing treatments to market.

Our expertise spans biotech, pharmaceuticals, and medical device sectors, where we have successfully built commercial, medical, regulatory, clinical, and scientific teams for some of the most innovative companies in the industry. Whether it’s identifying highly specialized talent, optimizing hiring processes, or providing market intelligence, we ensure that our clients have the people they need to succeed.

One of our most exciting recent collaborations is with Acadia Pharmaceuticals, where we are supporting their Daybue (CNS rare disease product) field team expansion. This partnership reflects our commitment to solving complex hiring challenges and ensuring that life-changing therapies reach the patients who need them most.

Expanding Acadia’s Field Team: A Strategic RPO Partnership

We are thrilled to be Acadia Pharmaceuticals’ exclusive Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) partner, leading their efforts to expand the Daybue field team. After successfully placing 25+ key hires, we are now launching the next phase of recruitment for 30 additional positions, with potential growth to 40 roles.

To ensure a seamless and efficient hiring process, these roles will be managed within Greenhouse, Acadia’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS). This level of process integration and management is part of what sets GQR apart—we don’t just fill positions; we implement optimized recruitment strategies tailored to our clients’ needs.

Key Roles We’re Hiring For:

  • 14 Area Business Managers (ABMs) – Territory-based sales professionals responsible for driving Daybue adoption and engaging with healthcare providers in the pediatric neurology and rare disease space.

  • 8 Regional Marketing Liaisons – The Rare Disease RML serves as a strategic bridge between the commercial team and thought leaders, driving peer-to-peer education, advisory boards, and regional engagement aligned to the DAYBUE brand strategy. This field-based role focuses on building strong relationships with key opinion leaders, executing educational initiatives, and ensuring impactful presence at scientific and advocacy events across the region.

  • 6 Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) – MSLs play a critical role in scientific exchange and medical education, ensuring key stakeholders are informed on Daybue’s clinical data, mechanism of action, and real-world applications.

  • 5 Family Support Educators - The Family Support Educator (FSE) at Acadia serves as a trusted educational resource for families navigating Rett syndrome, providing support both before and after a prescription is written. This role blends patient education, community engagement, and reimbursement guidance to help caregivers confidently access and adhere to treatment.

  • 3 Nebula Seats – Managing digital pipeline tracking and candidate management.

A Strategic Talent Partnership

Our collaboration with Acadia is more than just recruitment—it’s about building high-impact teams that will shape the future of rare disease treatment. We understand the urgency and complexity of hiring in the life sciences industry, and we are dedicated to delivering top-tier talent efficiently and effectively.

Our RPO model is designed to:
