Job Title: Certified Medication Aide • Corrections (Mid Shifts)
Join our client's team as a Certified Medication Aide in a fast•paced correctional environment. This role requires a thick•skinned, independent professional who can thrive in a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer medication as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Assist Patient Care Technicians as needed
• Float to different units as required
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Mid Shifts (12:30•9pm), 40 hours per week. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required.
Qualifications:
• Certified Medication Aide (Must be certified in Texas)
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of continuous experience as a Certified Medication Aide
• 1 year of med surg/acute care experience
• Experience with juveniles, LTAC, ER, Skilled Nursing, and/or Psych/Corrections is a plus
COVID•19 Vaccination Requirement: Vaccination is required but exemptions are accepted.
Please note:
• Staff may be required to float or divert within 50 miles of the assigned unit
• Refusal to float or divert is considered a Do Not Return (DNR)
• Staff is notified 2+ weeks in advance of their next month's schedule
• Overtime is available contingent on performance, punctuality, and attendance
