Job Title: Certified Medication Aide • Corrections • Night Shift
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our client's team. This role requires working night shifts and occasionally floating to different units within the same area.
Responsibilities:
• Administering medication as per the prescribed plan
• Assisting Patient Care Technicians as needed
• Adhering to all safety and health regulations
Requirements:
• Must be a Certified Medication Aide in Texas
• Minimum of 2 years of continuous experience as a CMA
• Experience in LTAC, ER, Skilled Nursing, and/or Psych/Corrections is a plus
• Must be thick•skinned, independent, and able to thrive in a fast•paced environment
• Must not participate in internal issues and gossip
• COVID•19 vaccination is required, but exemptions are accepted
Work Schedule:
• 13•week contract
• Night shift: 1845•0615
• 36 hours per week
• 4 weeks block booking by the 20th
• Work week is Saturday – Friday
Additional Information:
• Eligibility to work overtime is contingent on performance, punctuality, and absence record
• Staff will be notified 2+ weeks in advance of their next month's schedule
• May be asked to float to different units within the same area
• Refusal to float or divert is considered a DNR
Please note that the start dates are March 1st & 2nd. Completed profiles and CLP are due on February 10th. Attendance is required on the first day of orientation and EMR day of orientation.
