Job Title: Analyst/Associate - Post Trade Operations

Location: Charleston, South Carolina

Job Description: We are seeking an Analyst and Associate to join our Post Trade Operations team. The successful candidates will support clearing and settlement processes for millions of daily trades across various asset classes including Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX, Commodities, and Crypto.

Responsibilities:

  • Support clearing and settlement processes for trades in multiple asset classes.
  • Affirm trades to minimize operational risk and maximize straight-through processing.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of internal data with participating brokers for positions, trades, cash, NAV, and fees.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies raised by trading desks, other departments, and counterparties.
  • Build Business Intelligence reports using Tableau to provide insights into operational activities for senior management.
  • Maintain and manage data within systems, including security master data, to minimize and investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain relationships with brokers to address daily discrepancies and improve long-term processes.
  • Liaise with external software vendors to troubleshoot current processes and propose improvements.
  • Own and resolve specific inquiries and ensure timely resolution.
  • Identify areas of improvement, scope requirements, and assist in implementing automation.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related fields; CFA is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of FAS 1 level financial products.
  • Fundamental awareness of global markets.
  • 1-5+ years of experience in capital markets operations.
  • Strong communication skills across trading teams and software development teams.
  • Interest in post-trade infrastructure.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and “wear multiple hats.”
  • High-level proficiency in MS Excel, including Look-ups, Pivot Tables, and Conditional Statements.
  • Experience with Python, VBA, Tableau, or SQL is a plus.
  • Buy-side experience is a plus.
  • Experience with task management software such as JIRA is a plus.
