Position Summary:
The Director of HR Technology will lead the strategic planning, implementation, and optimization of human resources technology solutions, with a strong emphasis on Workday Human Capital Management (HCM). This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure HR systems are efficient, scalable, compliant, and aligned with business goals. The Director manages a team responsible for driving digital transformation initiatives, system governance, vendor partnerships, and the development of advanced analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Technology Strategy and Innovation

Develop and execute a multi-year HR technology roadmap aligned with organizational priorities and workforce needs.

Identify and deploy emerging technologies, including AI-driven tools and employee self-service platforms, to enhance efficiency and the employee experience.

Lead digital transformation initiatives to modernize HR systems and processes.
System Implementation and Optimization

Oversee system implementations, upgrades, and integrations, ensuring smooth operations and strong user adoption.

Manage the selection, configuration, and deployment of systems across HRIS, benefits, talent management, time tracking, and related applications.

Coordinate system releases and upgrades, ensuring thorough testing and minimal business disruption.
Data Governance and Analytics

Maintain data integrity, security, and governance across all HR platforms.

Lead the development of advanced analytics and workforce insights to support talent management, engagement, and strategic planning initiatives.

Build and maintain dashboards and predictive models to support business leaders and drive the adoption of AI-powered HR analytics tools.
Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure systems are compliant with applicable regulations, including U.S. labor laws, GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA.

Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Security teams to manage data privacy and mitigate risks.

Implement audit and governance controls to safeguard system integrity.
Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management

Serve as a strategic advisor to HR and business leadership on technology trends and system enhancements.

Partner with HR, IT, Payroll, and other internal teams to optimize business processes.

Lead change management initiatives, including communications, training, and user adoption strategies.
Vendor and Budget Management

Manage relationships with HR technology vendors, including contract negotiations and service level agreements.

Oversee HR technology budgets, ensuring investments deliver strong ROI and projects are completed on time and within budget.
Continuous Improvement and Best Practices

Establish and promote best practices for system configuration, security, and governance.

Stay current on industry trends and recommend innovative solutions to enhance HR operations.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement through ongoing evaluation and optimization of HR systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
10+ years of experience managing HR technology solutions, including system implementation, configuration, and optimization.

4+ years of direct, hands-on experience with Workday HCM modules (HCM, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Learning, Talent, Recruiting, Time, and Absence).

2+ years of experience managing and developing a team.

Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.

Ability to adapt quickly to change and work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Preferred:

Professional HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, CCP, CBP, or CEBS.

Experience with Workday Payroll module.

Experience leading the adoption of AI-powered HR tools and predictive analytics models.
