Job Summary: The Global Workday Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing and processing payroll operations across multiple countries using the Workday system. This role will ensure that payroll processes are compliant with local regulations, timely, and accurate. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in global payroll management, strong knowledge of Workday payroll functionality, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Payroll Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end global payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees.
- Manage payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
- Implement and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Workday Payroll Processing:
- Process payroll using the Workday system, ensuring all employee data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll data.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations related to payroll.
- Prepare and submit required payroll reports and filings in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll processes and records to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and manage a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Vendor Management:
- Liaise with external payroll vendors to ensure service quality and resolve any issues.
- Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure effective payroll processing.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and implement best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends and payroll regulations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to enhance overall payroll operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Global Payroll Manager or in a similar role with Workday payroll responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of global payroll processes, compliance, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Workday payroll functionality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP) are a plus.
