Job Description:

The Workday Team at GQR is seeking an experienced Principal Workday Payroll Systems Administrator to lead our client's Workday Payroll systems and support. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of post-go-live support experience and deep expertise in Workday Payroll configurations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workday Payroll Configuration:
  • Build and maintain Earn Codes and Deduction Codes.
  • Utilize Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) for data integrations.
  • Manage and update Payroll Input Workbooks.
  • Develop and maintain batch coding processes.
  • Design and configure paystub views.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws through accurate payroll configuration.
  • System Support and Optimization:
  • Provide post-go-live support for Workday Payroll systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
  • Identify opportunities for system optimization and enhancements.
  • Collaboration and Leadership:
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead payroll system projects and initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-go-live support experience in Workday Payroll.
  • Deep configuration experience in Workday Payroll.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll processing within Workday, including hourly, salaried, and retro processing.
  • Proficiency in EIB, Payroll Input Workbook, and batch coding.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws.
  • Experience designing multiple business processes around payroll.
  • Ability to build and interpret payroll reports.
  • Knowledge of GL configuration and management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday Payroll Certification.
  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Project management experience.
