Job Summary:
Our client, a rapidly growing organization currently implementing Workday Financials, is seeking an experienced Workday Finance Technology Administrator. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Workday Financials modules. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the system meets the business needs and supports strategic financial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Workday Financials Implementation Support:
- Serve as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert during the Workday Financials implementation, collaborating with the implementation partner, project managers, and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with system setup, data migration, and integration testing for all relevant financial modules.
- Ensure the successful deployment of Workday Financials, including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement, Asset Management, and Financial Planning.
System Configuration & Optimization:
- Configure and maintain Workday Financial modules to align with the organization’s financial processes and reporting requirements.
- Develop and implement best practices for Workday system use, including workflows, dashboards, and reporting capabilities.
- Identify areas for improvement within the system, recommending and executing configuration changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Data Management & Integrity:
- Oversee data governance within Workday Financials, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all modules.
- Perform regular audits and reconciliations of financial data, addressing discrepancies and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Manage data imports and exports, providing support for data integration with other systems.
Security & Compliance Management:
- Administer and maintain user access and security roles within Workday Financials, ensuring appropriate access controls are in place.
- Conduct regular reviews of security permissions, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to provide necessary data and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
End-User Training & Support:
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users, ensuring they are equipped to utilize the Workday Financial modules effectively.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for users, addressing issues promptly and documenting resolutions.
- Serve as a liaison between finance, IT, and other departments to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Project Management & Continuous Improvement:
- Lead or support various projects related to the enhancement and optimization of Workday Financials, including new module deployments, upgrades, and process re-engineering.
- Stay current on Workday updates and new features, assessing their impact on the organization and recommending adoption strategies where appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with Workday Financials, with hands-on expertise in configuring and managing multiple modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, and Financial Planning.
- Experience with Workday implementation projects, either as a client or partner representative.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and reporting requirements.
- Proven ability to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and provide innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Workday certification(s) in Financials modules is a plus.
